Problem
Create distinctive book covers that communicate each title's subject, tone, and audience while remaining visually compelling in a competitive publishing market.
Thinking
I approached each cover as a visual entry point to the book. The challenge was to translate complex ideas, stories, and academic subjects into a single image that could capture attention, establish the right expectation, and remain recognizable across different genres.
Process
Working closely with the publisher, I explored concepts through typography, imagery, composition, and visual hierarchy. Each cover was developed around the identity of its individual title while maintaining clarity and strong shelf presence across print and digital formats.
Outcome
A long-term creative partnership spanning more than a decade, with hundreds of book covers designed across diverse subjects and publishing categories. The work continues to evolve with the publisher and remains an ongoing part of my design practice.
