Idea

Addressable RGB lighting is typically used for aesthetics, but this experiment explored its potential as a functional information display. By repurposing ARGB LEDs into a digital clock, the goal was to combine utility, electronics, and visual design into a single desktop object that was both practical and visually engaging.

Insight

This experiment reinforced the idea that creativity often comes from seeing familiar technology in unexpected ways. A component designed purely for decoration became a useful interface, demonstrating that innovation is not always about inventing new technology—it can also come from reimagining the purpose of existing tools.
