HDD Activity LED

Idea

Traditional HDD activity LEDs provide only a tiny blinking light to indicate disk usage. This experiment explored whether that simple hardware signal could become a more engaging visual element by designing a custom indicator that better communicates system activity while adding personality to the computer.

Insight

Even the simplest hardware signals can become meaningful interactions when viewed through the lens of design. This experiment sparked my curiosity about blending electronics with creativity—an interest that would later grow into product design, digital systems, and automation.
